Get a Handle on Handel – Celebrate Handel's 250th Birthday!
Paws for Handel . . . Howl-lelujah! Choristers . . .
Lift your voice and sing the music of Handel. Choristers will be divided into two groups, and each group will meet each day for two 45 minute singing sessions.
Handle with Care with Bow, Blow and Beat . . .
Bach Festival Orchestra members will introduce you to a different musical instrument each day.

Isn’t “Ruff” – It’s Bach Talk . . .
Informal
conversations with Bach Festival vocal and
instrumental artists.
Too Hot to Handel . . .
Older participants will enjoy food preparations in the kitchen.
Get a Grasp on the Handle . . .
Participants in grades four and up will use Schulmerich handbells as you have an introduction to the art of handbell ringing. Those in grade three will use the Schulmerich handchimes.
Handel in Your Movement . . .
You will learn to express yourself through creative movement to music. You will be guided to move freely with melody and rhythm as you explore personal and general space, and discover inner feelings.
Use Your Hands, Head and Heart with Handel . . .
You will express yourself through creative visual
art experiences. Ginna Gordon from GLAZES in the
Crossroads will guide you in your creation with
ceramics. Other handmade creations will be made
during the week.
What’s the Score? – Tales
and Tunes . . .
Crawl into the
music and see what you will find. You will become
familiar with tales about music.
Arf, Ruff and Woof about Building Handel Community . . .
Music games will draw you into fun-filled, creative experiences for building intentional community and strengthening relationships.
A
Bach’s lunch is provided by Flaherty's Restaurant
for the children each day, and
each participant receives a
Bach to the Future T-shirt. |
