Bach to the Future
Two special weeks of music and uplifting fun
for Children and Youth in Kindergarten through Grade Eight
co-sponsored by the Carmel bach Festival
and All Saints Church, Carmel, California

Each week is a separate program. The titles of the sessions may be similar, but there is no duplication of activities in each week.

Week One: Bach to the Future
July 19 –23 • 9 a.m. until 3 p.m (No session on Saturday)
Bach to Church Sunday at All Saints' Church July 25 at 10 o'clock

Week Two: Get a Handle on Handel
July 25–30 • 9 a.m. until 3 p.m (No session on Saturday)
Handel in Church Sunday at All Saints' Church August 1 at 10 o'clock

Bach to the Future has been an important musical offering to the community since its creation by Carteena Robohm in 2005! In collaboration with the Carmel Bach Festival and All Saints Church, the program continues to flourish.

During these fun and enlightening two weeks, our young participants sing and make music, draw, dance, explore history and language, interact with singers and instrumentalists from the Carmel Bach Festival, and even learn to cook some of J.S. Bach's favorite foods!

The children and youth are divided into age appropriate groups for some of the sessions. There is a ratio of one adult to every eight participants.

A Bach’s Lunch is provided by Chef André from Lugano Swiss Bistro for the children each day, and each child receives a "Bach to the Future" T-shirt.

Bach to Church Sunday and Handel in Church Sunday will be the culminations of each week long program, as the children and youth sing the music of Bach and Handel at the respective services. Services are not duplicated.

Bach ‘N Tots

These sessions will be for children who are three and four years old. The children will be guided in rhythm and movement to Handel and Bach’s vibrant and energetic music. Bach ‘N Tots meet daily during the two weeks for one 45 minute session only.
